Course Details

 

* All courses meet NFPA 1006 and 1670 certification standards and are provided in Awareness, Operations and Technician levels.

Rope Rescue

Course content includes core knot and rope knowledge, Mechanical Advantage systems, low and high angle rescue systems, confined space techniques and advanced patient packaging.

 

Suspended Worker Rescue

This training is designed for safety and simplicity while minimizing exposure to the rescuer. A 20 hour course will train workers for safe and effective “self-rescue” when possible and prepare them for “assisted rescue” when required.

Confined Space

Training team members to safely conduct risk management for entry and exit, environment monitoring systems, fall arrest systems and worker recovery systems.

 

Hazardous Material Response

Teaching students in hazardous materials identification and handling, up to and including techniques for all sizes of spill response. Operations planning and understanding law and regulations are also covered.

 

Medical

We offer all WorkSafe BC Occupational First Aid Level 1, 2 and 3 courses including travel endorsement.

Structural Collapse

Teaching basics in risk management and situational assessment to advanced techniques in gaining entry into heavy steel and concrete structures for victim extraction.

 

Incident/Scene Management

Covering Incident Management Systems (ICS) from basic response to Area Command management, this information will put you team in a position to be able to manage any incident encountered.
